yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark May 30, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a redish glare and a lacing white head. Mild malt aroma. flavour has a solid metallic towards blood note initially, but that fades away. Mild roasted and light body, yet not thin as such. Roasted and slight bitter finish. MiP (6019), Flensburg, Germany Jul 17, 2008 Bottle, 4.8%. Very weak roasted aroma. Clear, very dark brown colour, red shine. The flavour is nicely roasted with some dark bread. Thin mouthfeel and sourish aftertaste, but actually not bad. bierkoning (4920), La Tropica, Netherlands May 18, 2006 Grapes, licorice and caramel in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with a hint of toast. Touches of smoke and roast in the aftertaste. Thanks to MoritzF for this delicious bottle. MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Mar 26, 2006 (330ml bottle) Clear and dark amber colour with a foamy and slightly off-white head. Soft sweet malty aroma with toasted bread, caramel and a whiff of hops. Medium sweet malty taste, slightly toasted with caramel and toffee, light bodied; dry and very light bitter and slim finish with only traces of hops. Drinkable Dunkel, but the almost watery body and the lack of hops is significant. pivnizub (3871), Porúří, Germany Mar 24, 2006 Bottle: Dark amber coloured, smaller beige head, quite stable and lacing; delicate dark-malty nose, faint traces of toasted malt and coffee, slightly sweetish flavour with some chocolatey bitterness in the background; dryer malty finish with a distinctive bitterness coming quite late; light bodied. A decent Dunkel, even though the brewery is located in the "Sauerland", a german scenery, which is notorious for its horrible beers (e.g. Veltins, Warsteiner....) ! :-)
