biz82 (1313), austin, Texas, USA Oct 19, 2005 On the lighter side for the style. Clear copper wih a frothy white head. Light melanoidin aroma. Very thin and grainy with some maltly flavors. Really not very good. PorterPounder (2825), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Mar 13, 2005 Picked up at a Wine store in Fredrericksburg, Tx of all places. Pours a pale golden with good bubble action and a fluffy white head - but it does not look like an Oktoberfest! Slighlty grainy, corny aroma. Flavor is slighlty corny with some brief biscuity notes, lots of yeast and soggy cereal and overall a typical bland German lager. Mouthfeel is decent, slightly spritzy. Mark this one as "drinkable". jazz88 (2205), San Francisco, California, USA Dec 25, 2004 Bottle. A light golden color with a laced white head. A straw and musty aroma. A hint of sweetness at the front followed by a dry bland finish that leaves an unappealing aftertaste. Thanks to Nuffield for hauling this up from Texas. TChrome (1249), Bedford, Texas, USA Nov 28, 2004 Extremely pale golden color, especially for an Oktoberfest with a well retained barely off white colored head. Aroma is mildly bitter and there is a biscuity maltiness in the background. The aroma is much more like a mild or bitter than an oktoberfest beer. Initial sensaion on tasting is the watery aspect of the beer. Flavor is mostly mild bitter. As a session bitter this might be OK, but it falls short as an Oktoberfest. Kevin (1765), Colorado, USA Nov 27, 2004 pale yellow with a thin layer of head. odd corn aroma that does not seem right. flavor is water and corn also. bitterness is nonexistant, and unfortunately so is any sweetness. this is bland and not good.
