Westmalle Dubbel

poured medium brown with a reddish tint. massive head on pouring, even with tipped glass. Aroma of dark belgian spices, nutmeg. Taste is where this shines through with a nice full spice and fruit offering. Great balance as well.

12oz bottle. Very dark with nice creamy head culminating into rings. Not as complex as The Rochefort or St Bernardus or even a Chimay Blue but still a good example of an abbey ale.

Bottle from BevMo. One of the best dubbels out there. Dark reddish-brown color with a huge off-white head. Aroma is fruit, yeast, and sweet malts. Flavor is malty with dark fruits (raisins, plums, etc). Nice smooth medium-full palate.

Pours a nice dark colour with a big head of foam. Got a sweat fruity and yeasty smell. The taste was also quite "wineous" with some frutiy tastes and yeast. A very nice double.

Beautiful dark amber red with big o head. Seet aroma with great mouthfeel/palate. Great tasting beer; One of my firstt Dubbel’s and won’t be my last. Re tried again - 4/09. DAMN smooth; I know I need to be more descriptive - smoov! with a v.. re rate in June/09 lowered a little

A nice dark brown color when poured and a decent head that forms. Smelled nicely of sweet malts adn caramel. The flavor was very malty, sweet, caramel, and a mixture of fruits. Very good brew.
