carruthm (1110), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 8, 2009 poured medium brown with a reddish tint. massive head on pouring, even with tipped glass. Aroma of dark belgian spices, nutmeg. Taste is where this shines through with a nice full spice and fruit offering. Great balance as well. BroSpud (583), , Massachusetts, USA Mar 8, 2009 12oz bottle. Very dark with nice creamy head culminating into rings. Not as complex as The Rochefort or St Bernardus or even a Chimay Blue but still a good example of an abbey ale.
