Unusual sharp bitterness. Dark amber color. Like an orange peel, or bitter nut shell. A bit medicinal. Best by 8/30/2009. Possibly a hint of grapefruit sourness. Aroma is nice and malty. Big mixed bubble head that fades slowly. A hint of skunk. bonfunck (149), Waasmunster, Belgium

Sour taste with not too pleasant of a finish. I dont see why this beer is rated so high. This is nothing to write home about. chops (60), Brantford, Ontario, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 10/20 | Dec 7, 2008 Pours a dark chocolate brown with a high tan head. Smells like coffee, but tastes like caramel and fruits; especially raisins. The alcohol still shines through, but the malts and fuit tastes masks well.
