a smell of yeast and something like a pleasant distilled spirit. a pitch dark body and a thick beige head that stays. tastes slightly sour, burnt, and is dry. it is very thick and creamy, an absolutely great mouthfeel.

A good deep flavored trappist ale best served in a trappist glass. Moderate sedimentation for an unfiltered ale.

11.2 ounce bottle room temp in Westmalle glass. Dark brown with lasting tan head lace. Yeasty fruity aroma with surprising alcohol burn. Toasty woody malty flavor with mild dark fruit smoke and tobacco bitterness. Medium bosy and low internal carbo. Incredibly soft creamy mouthfeel. A great great beer. My favorite dubbel, which is not a favorite style.

a very nice dubbel. Subtle fruity aroma, pours dark brown. Flavour is slightly sweet and fruity. Very nice mouthfeel. slight carbonation is persistent but doesn’t affect the enjoyment of the beer. A very solid brew.

Bottle, thanks ekstedt. Dark brown with a light brown head. Smells of apples and pears among the heavier notes of raisins and yeast. Somewhat sour. Light mouthfeel. Quite heavy carbonation.

Bottle, 750ml. Pours dark copper with very frothy and durable white head, with lacing. Chocolate, malt and caramel on the nose, with similar on the palate, with undertones of yeast. Majestic beer.
