0.33L bottle, big fluffy pale mocha head, hazy brown colour with some burgundy red taints. Extremely complex aroma, i detected vanila, coffee, dates, dried figs, dark honey, caramel and spiciness to roung off. flavour quite dry but with a touch of sweetness, coffee bitterness, bittersweet chocolate, licorice, woodiness. medium to full body, exquisitly balanced, long bittersweet aftertaste. Wonderfull to linger on.

What a tasty little find at a Burlington LCBO. 33cl, 7% a/v VERY generous head (be careful not to overpour) of a tan colour. Aroma is kind of boozy, with some caramel notes and dark stone fruit. The taste is quite complex.. very boozy and spicy, with some chocolate, licorice and cinammon all showing up to the party. The aftertaste is great, and reflects the original taste. Overall a fantastic sipping beer!

Very dark amber color; Medium body; Aroma of fruit/floral and spice; Flavor of malt, fruit, cinnamon, and some chocolate overtones; A little bitter at the finish; Quite balanced – but to be honest I was expecting a bit more.

12 oz bottle. Pours ruby brown with an off-white head that doesn’t last long and leaves little lacing. Extreme fruit on the nose with some malt and a bit of spice. Flavour is fruit and sweet malt with faint alcohol, not overly complex.

Very dark red-brown opaque body with a light brown, minimal head, fruity aroma, nice malty flavor, not too sweet, clean finish.

75cl corked bottle. Dark reddish brown colour - medium, soapy beige head with decent lacing. Intense aroma of pineapple, hops and toffee. The pineapple comes trough on the palate, too - which means it’s less sweetish than some other Trappist dubbels (like Chimay). Roasted malts grow stranger as you keep drinking. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Dry hoppy finish and mildly spicy, but lasting, bitter aftertaste. Alcohol (7 %) is well-integrated, and in all other respects, too, this is a superbly crafted and well-balanced beer. Unlike other dubbels, this one seems suitable as a session beer as well. Drink irresponsibly!

Pours clear, medium-chocolate brown with a two-finger khaki head, good and lasting lacing. Aroma of biscuit, toffee, earthy hops, pineapple, banana, and peach. Medium, zesty body, crisp and lightly dry. Deep malt flavor, toast and toffee with some subtle fruit notes, pepper and spice, with a fairly strong citrus finish that is also spicy and lightly bitter. Highly satisfying and drinkable.
