Rich smooth flavor with a long dry aftertaste. There’s a rich, chocolatey flavor that precedes a slight hoppy finish.

Bottle. Pours a deep reddish-brown with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma is candy sugar with slight malt and dark fruit characteristics. Taste is malt and candy sugar up front, and on the back end I detected some hints of plum, raisin, and spices like cinnamon and maybe coriander. An absolutely wonderful dubbel, and one of my all-time favorites.

11.2 oz bottle. Dark, translucent brown with a bit of an orange tinge. Impressive sticky, light brown head. Aroma is fresh and sweet, with suggestions of both sweet malt and candi sugar. Something a little sharper underneath, as well. Taste is dominated initially by sweetness, but there is some complexity beneath. There are hints of cloves, cinnamon, cherries, alcohol, and a bit of stewed dark fruit. Nice hoppy finish. Another one that requires further study.

Poured agressivly to reveal a thick light brown head. Whiffs of yeast and dark sugars hit the nose instantly flollowed by dates and a touch of spice. Taste is incredibly sweet and malty. Hints of brown sugar and cinnamon are noted while sipping in addition to the flavors described above. Alcohol was hidden much better than the in the triple and I like it much better.

The aroma of chocolate and coffee is deceptive. The flavor is soft, of red fruits, especially cherry. Light and cooling, final alcohol lightly bitter taste...........................O aroma de chocolate e café engana. O sabor é suave, de frutas vermelhas, especialmente cereja. Álcool leve e refrescante, final levemente amargo. Licorosa.

330 mL bottle. Brown with a fizzy head. Aroma of dark fruit and yeast. Taste of dark fruit, spices, and a slightly alcoholic warmth to the finish.

Deep amber-brown appearance with fruity aroma. Great balance between sweet, malty, and mild bitter finish. Very nice.

Brown colour with a tan head. The aroma is of spice, a bit of vanilla and some rasin and toast notes with faint alcohol in the background. The flavor is complexe with both toast, spice and warm alcohol and a malt presence with a bit of bitterness in the after taste. The finish is sweet and filling.
