Draught at The Rover, Gotehnburg, Sweden. Brown and a little hazy. Large off-white head. Fresh aroma, could it be pepper? A warm alcohol-feel. A lot of chocolate and some fruits in the flavour.

Amber brown, somewhat hazy color, great lasting offwhite head. Fruity aroma, peach, raisins, plum and some sourish notes. Some yeast. Fruity flavor from raisins and plums, nice hops and a good mouthfeel. Old rating: 6/4/6/4/13

Bottled. Brown color. Off-white head. Sweet in flavor with notes of dried fruit - apricot and prune. Some juniper berry tone. Candisugary and malty. Dusty, dry finish.

330 ml bottle 2003 vintage poured a hazy deep russet with a large lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of plums, dates, spices, grapes and some faint vinous notes. Palate was light to medium bodiede. Flavors of spice, grape, apple and yeast with a crisp slightly sweet finish.

Bottle. Pours dark brown mahagony with a huge mpale like frothy head that is somewhat diminishing and frothy lacing. Oak fruity (apple, pear) malt (cookie, meal) and yeast (cellared) aroma. Nutty malt medium roasted fruity flavor, medium acidity and bitter hop finish. Medium bodied and fizzy, lively carbonated palate.

Rerate:
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy reddish-brown with a huge lasting rocky off-white head. Nice lacing. Very nice complex aroma of Belgian yeast, sweet malt, brown sugar, chocolate, dark fruit and more. Flavour of lightly roasted malt, Belgian yeast, dark fruit, brown sugar, hops and alcohol -- very flavourful. Medium bodied. Truly fantastic, this is one of the top Dubbels in my opinion.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry at Smokeless Joe. Pours a bubbly murky dark reddish-brown with a small light-brown head. Mild sweet aroma of malt, fruit and a touch of hops -- it smells great. Sweet malt flavour was good but not as good as expected after that great aroma. I quite liked it but it didn’t knock my socks off.

Dark brown color with hints of red and a thick tan head. Aromas of malt, toffee and dried fruits. Fruit, nut and malt flavors. How about a Trappist cereal? Smooth body and crisp finish.
