Borisz, I wish I shopped in your local grocery store! Pours cloudy orangish-brown with frothy head. Slightly sour aroma of citrus and pine, with some dark fruits. Taste is smooth, with raisins, toffee. Taste is somewhat bland and the beer seems thin. Disappointing. Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA

Starts with a creamy carbonated mouth feel that gradually thins. Yeasty and toffee flavors dominate with some fruitiness poppin’ in once in a while. finished very dry. Large beautiful head (at least two fingers) on pouring, which sustained itself quite nicely with decent carbonation in the body and mouthfeel. Dark brown and cloudy in appearance. Aroma was a really strong wine / alcohol type smell. The flavor was malty and semi sweet, but finished with a somewhat surprisingly bitter ending. Boutip (2400), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

Great carbonation with strong body. Aroma is very spicy with no alcohol noticeable. Taste is great with the usual Belgian style mix of malts and hops with some added roastiness to that one. The spice mix is a bit stronger then expected but overall very enjoyable. Overall, this is a good beer but I was expecting something greater from this well known Trappist.
Re-rate 2008: Creamy texture, no alcohol, bubblegum-like taste. Very well balance from a very fresh bottle. Wow Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA

It’s sweet and malty with nice candy sugar notes, a little spice and a touch of hops. Full bodied, warming and slightly dry. badlizard (2386), Berkeley, California, USA

Aroma – A big Belgian aroma from the yeasts the malts are very prevalent also.
Appearance – Dark brown in color, Nice thin head and clear.
Flavor – Huge Belgian flavor, dried fruit and a strong yeast flavor.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, great texture with a good dry Belgian finish.
Overall – One of the best Belgian I have ever had. The flavors the fruit and yeast mixed well it was not so yeasty that you did not want another. This was near perfect.
