Feb 4, 2006 aroma of alcohol, dark fruit, and red wine. murky brown with a medium sized off white head. fizzy foamy mouthfeel. lots of carbonation. somewhat light bodied but very full flavored.

Jan 12, 2007 This one has been in storage for a while - the label reads best by 13/05/04. Its still good two and a half years after the supposed expiration date. Pours deep brown / bronze with a minimal tan head. The aroma has dark fruits, brown sugar and thick toasted malt that is musty and earthy. Medium / thick body that starts smooth and rich, but has a lot of carbonation on the finish despite its age. The taste starts with thick roasted caramel malt, brown sugar and dark fruits. The finish adds a bit of spice and a touch of sourness.
This is a world class beer that ages very gracefully.

Mar 30, 2004 This Dubbel poured a clear brown body with a huge off white head that was very creamy and long lasting with excellent Belgian Lace on the glass. The aroma is lightly malty with alcohol and a breadiness in the background. Slightly sweet with a short, acidic finish. A good Dubbel, but I couldn't rate it any higher than this.

Feb 6, 2006 Dark brown with light brown creamy head. Fruit aroma with a malty hint. Full fruit flavor with a bitter lasting finish.

Jan 5, 2007 Bottled. Pours a clear dark amber with a substantial and lacy off-white head. Medium body and fizzy carbonation. Sweet aroma with fruit, nuts, perhaps a trace of banana? Sweet taste predominated by fruit and malty goodness. Spicy finish.

Sep 26, 2004 Pours cloudy brown with red highlights. Medium lasting off white head. Sweet malt & dark fruits dominate aroma. Medium full mouthfeel. Flavour starts sweet, mid is full of dark fruitcake flavours. Slightly citric finish. Nice stuff.

May 30, 2007 bottle - Pours dark brown with a two finger head. It has a caramel malt and yeast aroma. I was also picking up a little chocolate and dark fruit. The flavor is sweet with the caramel malts leading hte way and some dark fruit notes. Medium bodied, it has a mild finish.
