Bottle from BevMo. One of the best dubbels out there. Dark reddish-brown color with a huge off-white head. Aroma is fruit, yeast, and sweet malts. Flavor is malty with dark fruits (raisins, plums, etc). Nice smooth medium-full palate.

Pours a beautiful Mahogany shade with a full fluffy oatmeal colored head. Nose is dried fig along with sugars. The flavor is malty, dried fruit, and touch of smokiness. Not that complex or powerful. Almost no hint of alcohol. Very smooth

Bottle. Brown appearance with a little bit of yeast visible in the bottom of the glass. HUGE head - enough to make me wonder for a moment, but the wonderful aroma and flavor dispelled any notions that I might have a bad bottle. Very complex taste: Cherries, chocolate, pears, cashew, woodiness all make an appearance in the flavor with apples having a cameo toward the finish. A slightly acidic bite makes the great finish more interesting. Truly a world-class beer. Thank you jbrus!

Bottle Deep brown, clear body. Creamy, lightly brown head. Nice aroma of malts (both crispy and burnt), fruits, wine, port, wood. Subtle but complex. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet flavour (of malts and bit smoke). Good balance but not very complex. Easy drinkable. Dryish finish.

Had this beer on 7/28/2007. Aroma is a rich sweet malt scent. Color is a deep solid amber with good carbonation and a tight tan head. Taste is creamy smooth and rich. Starting with a medium body it goes down incredibly smooth . Finish comes out creamy with a mild sweetness and easy yeast fruity flavor, then it sharpens a bit with a nice bitterness that ligers into a dry after taste.

Pours a nice reddish mahog color. Small white poofy head and has a nose of fruit and yeast. Tastes a little like buble gum and goes down smooth with aftertaste of fruit and spice. Good but not my favorite.
