Dark brown color, good head. Chocolat and dark fruit in the aroma with a touch of alcohol. Dark fruit tastes carry into the body, finishes hoppily bitter. Nice warming alcohol. Overall this is a very nice beer, perhaps I expected more? Regardless, top notch.

Reddish hue with yeast chunks and tan foam head. Aroma of bread, yeast, pear, prune. Flavors affirm the aroma with a bit of sherry in the finish. Some star anise also. Nice and dry and a bit tart compared to some other Dubbel’s I’ve tried. Very elegant.

Smells of wet dog, cherries and new tires. Creamy dark brown with a head that is thin in the middle of the glass, but rises strong on the sides, concave in the glass. Bright red fruits, heavy weighted malt and yeast, clean throughout, though not all that married together. Lots of cola nut, some raspberry. There is no hype to live up to, but still doesn’t hold up to the expectations.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! Is the best way to describe this beer. It just hits all the right spots. Bottle... Poured deep reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of cloves and fruity esters with warm alcohol. Palate is light and silky with flavors of raisins and figs on top of buttery, dark malt. It’s close to a perfect beer.

Smells highly alcoholic and of dates and prunes. Beautiful appearance, with a pretty lacing around the top and a dark amber body. Fruit in the flavor, but it is a tad thin. Dry finish. A hint of spices and cocoa.
