The fruity esters from the yeast combine wiht the rich malty aroma for an intense pleasurable sensation through the nose. The flavor is everything the aroma offers and more. Light in body and rich in flavor with an incredible balance of sweet, malty, and rich aromas and flavors. Pailhead (2593), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

Pours a dark hazy transparent brown with a huge off-white head with great retention. Flavor is very malty and fruity. Just like the aroma tons of grape. Light caramel. A little sourness in the finish blends well. Grape comes stronger in the finish and leaves a nice aftertaste. Very smooth. Better than the trippel. Excellent beer. Could drink this all the time. eboats (888), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 10, 2004 Brown with a off white head. Smells like bubble gum and some other smells I can’t put my finger on. The smell of this offering is absolutely amazing. Definately on of the better smelling beers I have had. Texture: creamy with bubbles and fizz. It is hard to describe what this tastes like. The portioning is outstanding. So many flavors at mild levels it all mixes together to form something great. I find it hard to pick out individual flavors. I tasted chocolate, raisin, some fruit taste. It even has tasty belches. When you belch and it tastes good you know it is good. I paid $5 for a 12 oz bottle. Man if this wasn’t so much money I would drink this heavily. Quetzalcoatl (153), Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Rich full flavor, tastes of red grapes, maybe some plums. Very fruity taste, only hints of alcohol come through. Finishes nice and sweet. marcus (1868), Sacramento, California, USA

Starts with a heavy fruit and malt flavor, with a yet stronger candy and citrus finish. Very well balanced with just the right amount of carbonation. dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

It’s great. Very ripe... a lot like the delerium tremens. A great drink. dyetube (409), Dallas, Texas, USA
