It’s great. Very ripe... a lot like the delerium tremens. A great drink. arrogantb (715), Denver, Colorado, USA

Appearance is a dark-reddish brown with a small head that sticks around pretty well but is not more than a centimeter high. The smell of this beer reminded me of grapes and red wine and me anticipate the taste even though I don’t drink wine…. The taste is delicious but doesn’t quite match up with the smell but that is ok. It is also thick and hard to describe. It’s dark and fruity but not really spicy at all, maybe some nuttiness. Good bubbly carbonation and very easy to drink, this is a nice beer. Both beers I have had so far from Westmalle have been delicious but I enjoyed this more than the tripel and I wish I had bought more than one.

Beautiful dark brown pout with a 2 finger head that laced all the way down the glass. Head left alot quicker than the Rochefort. Aroma is dark fruits, spices and alcohol with some yeastiness in the background. Reelingsilk (22), Netherlands

The flavor is a very deep, pleasant caramel maltiness, not overly sweet, but just nice, silky smooth. broken013 (7), lebanon, Pennsylvania, USA does not count | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 1, 2007 Nice aroma and taste.
