This brew is even better the trippel because it avoide the dreaded PB taste of the later with it’s high alcohol content. It’s great. Very ripe... a lot like the delerium tremens. A great drink.

12 oz. bottle marked 07/02/08, I have no idea how old it is. Appearance is a dark-reddish brown with a small head that sticks around pretty well but is not more than a centimeter high. The smell of this beer reminded me of grapes and red wine and me anticipate the taste even though I don’t drink wine…. The taste is delicious but doesn’t quite match up with the smell but that is ok. It is also thick and hard to describe. It’s dark and fruity but not really spicy at all, maybe some nuttiness. Good bubbly carbonation and very easy to drink, this is a nice beer. Both beers I have had so far from Westmalle have been delicious but I enjoyed this more than the tripel and I wish I had bought more than one. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-07-2007 17:54:53

Bottle. Dark brown colour with large lasting head. Nice aroma of chocolate and caramel. Sweet flavor of caramel, chocolate and nice aftertaste. One of my favorite beers.

A very pleasing aroma and a hazy appearance. There is a taste of muscadine and a lingering malty finish. Nice.

Pours dark amber brown, forming off white foamy head. Aroma raisins, flowered hops with raspberries, plums and candy comes through too. Flavour is of lovely malts, cotton candy, bananas and burnt plums. Oh my Lord, a wonderful beer from our friends in Belgium!! Sheeeesh, I love my American IPA’s, but this is such a great beer. Next to IPA, my next fave style! Frigen awesome brew!

Drank this along with a Rochefort 6 and this came out on top hands down. Beautiful dark brown pout with a 2 finger head that laced all the way down the glass. Head left alot quicker than the Rochefort. Aroma is dark fruits, spices and alcohol with some yeastiness in the background.

Oh what a beauty. The nose is enticing and fruity. The flavor is a very deep, pleasant caramel maltiness, not overly sweet, but just nice, silky smooth.

Nice aroma and taste. Produces a nice head when poured into a chalist styled glass.
