Pours with a deep amber body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s sweet and malty with nice candy sugar notes, a little spice and a touch of hops. Full bodied, warming and slightly dry.

WOW mighty head, frothy and cream colored, very tightly packed. Sweet floral nose. This beer covers a wide spectrum of taste and delivers with deep complexity. silky smooth The sweet floral notes fade into a nuttiness, followed by a tasty toasty finish. It left me wanting three or four more chances to rate it right away, just to try and spit out everything that happens.

Poured a cloudy dark brownish purple color with a large very light tan head with some lace. Sweet aroma of dark fruits, in particular plums. Taste was sweet, fruity and had hints of chocolate and roasted maltiness.

This is a great beer! Here in Belgium it's one of the most common trappists. Very dark brown appearance. Sweet aroma. Hints of caramel and chocolate.

Very tasty intriguing Trappiste with fruity and winy palate. Some sweetish sugary notes.

Halfway thru the initial pour, I had already given it a 5 for appearance: beautiful, large, off white head over a cloudy, mahogany colored body. Yeasty, dried fruit, lightly spiced aroma. Compex mouthfeel added to the enjoyment, with tastes that incorporated spices, a range of fruits, some sourness, some bitterness, and some tartness. Alas, the end came too soon.
