Aroma is prunes, malt, complex. Appearance is dead on for the style, dark brown with off white head. Flavor is malt with yeast and a little bit of hops. Very good ale. pivo (2537), Germany

Nice tan leggy head. Sweet flavor up front that is spicey, nutty and has hints of honey. There is a woody finish that is slightly dry. Nice boost of taste from the alcohol. Complex palette. Mature and well-balanced. Enjoy this best by itself. fiulijn (7500), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

Keg It's the only Trappist beer available in kegs (and I don't understand what's the need for that). It's good but not mature nor enough hoppy; it's a bit metallic and doesn't have enough character. [7-5-6-4-13] motelpogo (4399), Plzen, Czech Republic

Wonderful aroma, can smell caramel, fruit, bread. Malty sweet taste, with just the right amount of hoppy bitterness to balance it out. Very dry but enjoyable. Medium mouthfell, just right. Very fresh and sweet scent, can find traces of apple, banana and a slight trace of orange. Taste is also fresh, delightful caramel and chocolate, mixed in a whole variaty of different fruits.
Lovely on the palate.
An excellent dubbel beer!
