Oct 23, 2005 Deep brown cloudy color that you cannot see through the other side of the glass to. Taste of chocolate, caramel, and spices. Lots of carbonation. Very creamy finish here, this is an exceptionally smooth and balanced beer. Very very enjoyable.

Jun 26, 2006 Updated: Jul 3, 2006Poured a dark brown with a very nice thick tan colored head. Smell is of fruit. Tastes of sweetness and yeast. Very smooth with some carbonation.

Jun 26, 2008 Pours mahogany with a thick frothy head that dissipates down to a thin, tan skimming reminiscent of a good cup of coffee. Aroma of candied sugar, wood, dark fruit, caramel, and bready malts. Flavor contains notes of breadiness and caramel with hints of dark fruit, cola, and woodiness to go along with sweet candied sugar and belgian yeast. Slightly spicy. Dry, semi-hoppy finish with medium body. Great brew.

Wow. Smooth, smooth, smooth, pours dark brown and offers up a disticntive head of belgian yeasts. Tasty with a disticnitive sweetness and absolutely smooth.

Jan 14, 2007 A great Dubbel with the classic aroma of caramel, malts and beautiful yeast overtones. Classic Belgian pour and color. A real winner which is readily available in our area. Life is good.

Excelente aroma. Carbonatação média. Corpo denso, cremoso. Muito bem equilibrada. Paladar predominantemente amargo, embora suave, e levemente seco e salgado. Álcool na medida.

Dec 3, 2007 Bottle at Firewaters in Atlantic City. Pours a deep brown color with amber highlights into the trappist glass. A quick inch of head and Belgian lace stuck around awhile. Fruity notes accompanied the malty, yeasty scents on the nose. A very complex taste with several flavors rushing the palate. A nice balance between sweet and bitter with fruit, sugar, spices and malt. Excellent smooth finish.
