I’ve had this many times, but have just gotten around to rate it. I had a cold, so some of the aromas probablydid not come through as strong. Heavy malt with some sweet dough. Also, a good hint of cherry. Creamy head that completely went away. Brown, with some tiny particles. I poured the whole bottle.Good, dubbel, right on style.

Bottled. Brown colour with beige/brown mediumsized head. Leaves nice lacing. Caramel and malt in aroma. Very fresh aroma. Fruity and malty taste with hints of hops. Aftertaste is made of citrus and hoppy bitterness. Very wellbalanced.

Beautiful dark red color with a full head. Fruity but not to sweet. Very malty. The 7% is well hidden. Excellent pure and simple.

Very dark but clear, the off-white head dies slowly. A steady bead rises up the side of the glass. The nose is rich, heady & malty, mouthwatering. A rich malty palate lingers on the tongue for ages. A quality beer...one to savour.

Brown/dark amber. Small, creamy tan head. Yeast, malt, dark fruit, candi sugar, and some vinous character-aroma. Roasted fig, yeast, malt, alcohol, clove, candi sugar-flavor. Complex brew. Full body, creamy with plenty carbonation, dry finish and a bit of a yeasty aftertaste. Could be the best dubbel I’ve had.

Brownish body with a tint of red, small head, beautiful lacing. Aroma is malt dominated with notes of darker fruits, yeast, caramel and spices. Flavor is the same, and it’s not a monster like some of the other trappists, but it’s certainly well done.
