Pours a dark brown with reddish hues. Deep maroon, with a small, but well retained light tan head. Lots od dark fruits, dark malts, and candy sugar in the aroma. Very sweet smelling. The taste is big and bold, really sweet and fruity. Dark berries, malts, other dark fruits, some candy sugar, and a slight bitterness in the finish. Seems to be aloit going on here. The aftertaste has a hint of alcohol, but fruity on the palate. Nice brew. Good representation of this style in my opinion.

Aroma of dark dried fruits and sweet malt. Appearance is a dark brown, with a dense, swirling white head. Flavors are rich malts, fruity yeast and a mild spicy hop finish. Very well balanced overall, with just a touch of alcohol warmth to finish.

Dark brown body with a large tan head, lasting, nice lacing. The aroma is banana, figs, pear and perfumey hops. The flavor is pear, some banana and peach, figs, golden raisins, candi sugar and herbal hops. Medium body, moderately dry, very soft texture. Excellent and very deserving of it’s stellar reputation.

12 oz bottle. Pours a murky brown with ruby highlights when held up to light. Had to wait a few minutes to get a good feel for the aroma until the large frothy head died down. Aroma is very rich, notes of dark fruits, caramel malt sweetness, belgian yeast. Flavor is very dry up front, I was expecting sweeter from the aroma. Smooth flavor profile- malt, black cherry, alcohol, fruity, yeasty. Mouthfeel is perfect, medium bodied with mouthcoating finish that last well into the next sip. Lively carbonation fits this beer well. Very good Dubbel, I guess there’s a raeson this is considered a classic.

Pours deep reddish brown. Huge frothy white head, that laced the glass. Aroma is fruity, mostly cherries and I picked up some oak. Taste of cherries, oak, caramel. This was very easy to drink, and went down smooth. Taste wasn’t overpowering by any means.
