Enticing aroma of Nuts and malts some roasting to add to the party. The first taste was fizzy with carbonation, dancing on my tongue. A sour taste lingered. As the glass empties, I see good lacing tracing down to the ale. Nice. This is smooth and creamy as it warms, with some tartness. the hoops sneaking and lay around, waiting to kick in as the ale leaves a smile on my face. Time well spent with this, can’t wait to try the triple. Nekronos (2265), Xalapa, Mexico

Muddy brown colour, hints of red at the edges, and a frothy tan head that lasts throughout. Aroma of rich fruits - dried fig and date, raisins and plum. Fruit predominates the flavour with molasses/muscovado added. Sour undertones complement the sweetness. Lightly carbonated and surprisingly light in palate. Lovely. espenra (292), Oslo, Norway

It poured a dark amber colour with a medium big beige head that settles down fast in the glass. The aroma smells of malts raisins, banana and alcohol. The flavour tastes of roasted malts, apples, plum, dark caramel and a hint of alcohol. It has a medium long aftertaste. rlxx (5), Belgium does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 29, 2009 Verry plezant dubbel trappist that’s easy to drink, mostly i drink this over a good diner, buth she taste as good on a sunny terras!
