The previous sample I had I didn’t like to much. This time I was able to see it for what it is: A really nice beer. I pours a nice clear dark red with an off white solid head with sticky lacing. The nose and the flavor mainly come from the yeast. Loads of dried fruit and spices with a creamy texture and smooth but slightly dry finish. What a wonderful beer. Smell is definitely caramelized sugar and caramel. Flavor is of caramel, caramelized nuts and hops. A good dubbel- don:t realize its alcohol content. daknole (3000), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA

Taste is fruity sweet and complex, not at all cloying. Exquisitely smooth palate with a beautiful long finish. Obviously a labor of love for the monks. sigma23 (235), , Maine, USA
