Bottle (donated by DerDoppelbock): Pale golden coloured, hazy, medium-sized white firm head; citrus-fruity and aromatic hoppy nose; moderate spicy bitter-sweetish flavour; light to medium bodied; soft sweet-bitter finish. O.K., the qualties of the Westmalle brews are detectable here without doubt......

Bottle at LCRBM 2, Kulminator, Antwerp, Belgium
Hazy, yellow-orange body. White creamy head. Excellent lace. Nose of hops (orange, mint freshness). Moderately bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet finish. Very nice beer, especially for it’s ABV. Very good complexity. Yummie. I’m doubting to become a monk in order to be able to drink this everyday.

Bottled - LCRBM2 - A hazy yellow/gold coloured beer with a huge white head - really massively carbonated. The aroma is hard to pick up through the huge head but there is a litttle spice lingering. The taste is also a tad spicy with some peppery notes. A little thin and reminiscent of a weaker version of the triple maybe. Quite fresh and young, might be better with a little laying down?

Slight hazy yellow coloured beer with a very attractive creamy white froth. The aroma is clean, dry malty, slight touches of lemongrass and hints of springflowers. The taste is a cracker, very tastefull, refresching, dry and mild at the same time, again some hints of fresh flowers and ending with a zinging dosis of refresching hops. A dayly beer with tons of caracter. I guess this is my favorite from this Trappist brewery. At JPP’s kitchen table.

2nd LCRBM. Very fresh sample. Fresh citrus in the aroma. Citrus flavor, especially grapefruit. Some light grassy hops. Very well made light beer, one of the great beers of this meeting.

(LCRBM2) Very nice, good looking hazy blond beer. Smells good and hoppy: grassy and pineapple. Tastes very young, fresh and greenery. A top class session ale!
