Poured into a Westmalle chalice; blond with a good bit of haze; foamy head that lacks much retention. Aroma is of lemon, bitter orange and something else, perhaps bergamot? Dry, almost aggressively spicy flavor up front, followed by a fruit (pear?) esters in the middle, and a nice clean finish. Easily the most drinkable Tripel I’ve had.

Really surprised by how light this is. Looks tasty and creates a really great white head. Quite soapy with hot cross bun and banana aromas, very boozy. Rich caramel with really absolutely delicious biscuit and crusty bread finish. Lovely, savoury and bright.

Pours yellow with a tint of orange. Cloudy with a massive white head. Strong fruity esters of banana. Alcohol and yeast also present in the nose. Sweet, fruity flavors. Very yeasty. Prickly carbonation and light mouth feel. I just can’t get into this beer. No hop character, very yeasty, dominant alcohol flavor.

33 cl bottle. Pours a hazy yellow colour, with a minimal white head. Complex spicy aroma, fruits as well. Lovely soft mouthfeel, as velvet.Herbal semi sweet taste, bitter end.

33 cl. bottle. Best before date 3/26/10. Pours a thinnish white head, over a slightly cloudy golden orange SRM 10) body.....nose loaded with spice, (coriander, allspice) fruit, (banana), citrus (lemon)....taste initially seems sweet, but rapidly the spice/fruit combination arrive to balance, it is dry throughout and becomes rather bitter through the finish....mouth feel is light, carbonation high, and there is an alcohol presence in the background. The spice is wonderful, and the empty glass has overwhelming honey aromas.

Golden straw in color maybe a slight brown tinge, big flakes of sediment float everywhere, a good sized white cap floats on top that had phenomenal retention, very nice looking beer. Yeast and apples, lots of apples fill the nose, the aroma over all is soft and smooth maybe a touch of sourness is in the back ground and on big deep inhales I can detect a touch of dish soap. Sour bitter wood and yeast comprise most of the flavor and I can detect cherry in the finish, the cherry seems out of place. The after taste is flowery and bitter. This is a good beer and highly enjoyable but for a triple and the reputation it has I was slightly disappointed.

white big full head, Golden and clear, the perfect looking beer! caramel, citrus, herbs, banana are terms i would use to describe the excelent taste. I think it tastes sweet en bitter equally. medium body, medium body, fizzy, and light bitter finish. i can not believe they sell this in our supermarkets!

I liked the spiciness throughout. the flavor is dry but not very bitter. alcohol is present but not overly so. lots of yeast, tastes very typically Belgian. Good, but I wasn’t wowed like I was expecting to be.
