Yeasty aroma with notes of coriander, citrus and sweet malt. Flavour is fresh and spicy. Notes of sweet exotic fruit, malt, clove and a nice alcoholic touch. Sparkling carbonation. A classic. vtafro (475), , New Jersey, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 6, 2009 Great beer, with a nice aroma and the flavor hides that 9.5 % that can make beer taste like malt liquor. sirpsycho (349), Murrysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Bottle. Pours a really hazy, light amber, small, dense white head, yeast sediment swirling around. Aroma is yeast, spice and some light flower notes. Flavor is what the aroma promises, yeast, spice, flowers. A little bitter, but leaves a pleasant yeast lingering. horto008 (23), Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Not my favorite tripel or favorite abbey ale. alcohol was very apparent up front. slightly sour with moderate bitter aftertaste. the fruit flavors were not as apparent as in the double. however, it was very pretty in the glass and was incredibly smooth. head was tall buit very thin. ben4321 (1032), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Overall Impression:
Really nice Tripel. Definitely doesn’t hide the alcohol much, but the flavors are still there. Try this one, or enjoy this one again, I know I will.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 2, 2009 Bottle, Dram Shop, Sheffield. A revisit to an old favourite, even drunk it from the bulky ’official’ goblet that lingers at the back of my glass stash. Poured a hazy golden colour with a decent white head. Aroma had classic belgian yeast, with spice and citrus notes. Quite sweet, but not overwhwlmingly so, and on the whole a pretty well balanced mix of fruit, spice, yeast and hop. Quite in your face booze, yet smooth and drinkable. A good thang. lagomswedish (213), Umeå, Sweden
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Bottle from Systembolget in Umeå. Pours a hazy orange with rocky egg white head. Nice aroma of spicy marmalade, and banana. Very sweet upfront and then an assertive hot pepper and corriander middle and overpowering alcoholic finish that was too brutal for me. durhambeer (1217), Durham, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 30, 2009 Bottle from Sam’s. Pours bright deeply hazy golden with slight orange tint. Huge rocky, pillowy head and solid lacing. Smells like it’s dry, but also bready yeast, bananas, clove, some apricot, citrus, and white pepper. Similar on the tongue, but a bit of an alcohol burn. Dry finish. Very good.
