Golden body with rocky blond head. Slightly sour aroma, sharp and acidic. Effervescent mouthfull. The alcohol is there but not as prominent as the ABV would suggest. Fairly spicy...bit difficult to identify clove or pepper, but spice is there. Quite enjoyable beer. Refreshing and sneaks up on you with its potency.

Bottled as shown. Pours to nice cloudy golden body. Strong aroma of fruit. Alcohol taste is present but not pervasive. Good beer

My trappist favorite. Malty yet dry enough to enjoy, alcohol is well hidden. Hoppy with a copper color and spicy-fruit esters. Complexity grows as it warms. A near perfect effort. You will not be disappointed.

Classic Trappist ale, Full strong slightly sweet taste, fruity aroma with fully lasting palate, wonderful beer, one of my favourites.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy golden color with a large frothy white head that lasts awhile and then leaves behind very sticky lacing on the glass. The aroma is floral hops and banana. The taste is a very dry citrus and the alcohol is very present with this one. A complex abbey tripel from Westmalle.

After the cheepbeerday i have this...Fantastic, complex beer! Delicious appearance with a hazy golden color and a nice white and stable head. The nose is spicey about coriander, liqueric alcohol perfume, tons of fine hops. The taste is complex like the body with a high gravity with spicey flavor, strong and good balanced hops like the high percentage alcohol:liqueric but moderated, not owrepowered. Smooth but powerful character, dry taste on the palate, nice dry aftertaste.Yum! Please, give me some more!

Pours a hazy straw color with alot of carbonation. Aroma is nice and clean, very fresh. Taste is rather dry with some nice spice flavor. I really enjoyed this brew and also had nice aftertaste.

Ester profile is unlike more widely distributed Trappist high gravity beers. Westmalle yeast seems to have a reduced rotten-garbage-banana smell and increased fresh fruit aromas, maybe grape, maybe a small share of bubble-gum. Taste is refreshingly dry without being astringent. Nice hops in the finish. Definitely my favorite Trappist ale.
