| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | May 30, 2008 Vinous sweet pear with some vanilla spice on the nose. Deep gold color, hints of orange, slight haze and huge long-lasting head with great lacing. Honey soaked pear, some white rum notes, deep balancing bitterness, some tart/sourness too. Full body, delicate but huge carbonation. Alcohol is very present, but the complexity of this beer carries the package nicely into a long finish. A must try! yumyum (124), barrie, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 30, 2008 Updated: Feb 26, 2009hazy orange with white head. very fruity and spicy on the nose. ARoma is what distinguishes it from some other tripels. Fuity and vanilla flavour, alcohol nicely hidden. Overall a nice enough beer but I’m not a huge fan of tripel so I didn’t find it anything to get super excited about. (tasting with leffe tripel and bornem tripel, this one had best nose and most complex flavour by far) texasbartender (160), Sugarland, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | May 30, 2008 The beer pours a hazy orange yellow with a thick head that hangs around for a while. The nose is a mix a roasted fruits pithy orange zest coriander, yeast, malts and you can feel the alcohol and your eyes. The nose and taste are right in step with each other; with the addition of alcohol. I think this beer will lay down well for a few years maybe smooth out the alcohol. Not the best beer ever but it is easy to get in my market and thus will become my go to beer Droptank (79), Spring, Texas, USA
| 4.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | May 29, 2008 Updated: Jul 29, 2008I don’t think I have rated a beer this high before. Excellent flavor, aroma, texture, you name it, its got it. I was becoming a Chimay snob, but no longer. I have found a new winner. The texture is very smooth for the ABV, and the aroma will make you want to grab a tobacco pipe and sit by the fire and read Chaucer. Very elegant! zappafan99 (463), Ascension Island

Candy sugar. Dark baked apples, effervescent. Not as good as other Belgian beers...I knew it, must be why I avoided it for yrs. Not bad, just not as great as others. malrubius (1005), Valley Stream, New York, USA
