Aroma is champagne like with hints of white grape and light fruits. Flavor is big and malty, with big estery flavors of light fruits, and a nice warming at the end. Pretty good. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 18, 2009 Pours a hazy golden yellow with a white head. The aroma is sweet, fruity, and citrusy. The taste is earthy with a lot of spice on the finish. This is one of those brews that the aroma does not match the taste. I think there is some Brett in there but this spice is very overpowering. Not well balanced and a moderately strong alcohol warming. This is the first time I bought this beer and I might try it one more time to see if it was just this bottle, but I was not to impressed and could not finish this one. drowland (1407), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 10, 2009 This beer surprised me, it was not as full or strong as I imagined and to be honest I probably enjoyed it more because of that. Lovely pear and spice aromas, poured witha typical Belgian fluffy white head. MrRoss (617), Delta, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2009 This one poured with a cloudy golden colour, and an average-sized head. Aroma was ever so slighty fruity, and the taste was much the same, with the high ABV not in evidence.
