Floral and fruit aroma magnify sweetness in taste and nose. Floral hops add weird tinge and distinguished aroma. Tight and crisp as hell. A little champagne feel in both nose and flavor. Light bitter throughout but with lightly sweeter finish. d07c0m (28), Ontario, Canada

Delicious combination of all typical trappist factors with floral hop, yeast presence, and warming alcohol to round it out. dnstone (286), Mons, Belgium

Always enjoyable. Poured from 33cl bottle to my own Westmalle glass on NYE. I think these are better fresh rather than aged. thirdeye11 (563), Texas, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 30, 2009 From a 330ml bottle on 30/12/2009. Massive beer which should be enjoyed slowly. Typical strong Belgian ale aroma. The taste is predominantly fruity and spicy, with a honeyed sweetness developing as it warms. Quite syrupy, with a touch of bitterness and a dry finish - almost a little champagne-like. A rewarding drop, but definitely a winter warmer rather than something to quench one’s thirst on a hot day. curly (767), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Very rich carbonation with a slightly bitter finish Chalsk (27), North Caldwell, New Jersey, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 25, 2009 Very delicious beer. Nice creamy head. Fruit, yeasty notes. Nice carbonation level tries to balance the beer but might be just a bit much. Otherwise everything comes together nicely with this beer.
