What is it, the queen, king or the emperor of the tripels. I dont know, But it is one of the best tripels and maybe the standard of them. It’s a golden beer. A little hazy with a thick foamed white head. Very nice aromas of malt, yeast, flowers and nice fruits like orange. The taste has also fruits like orange and some citrus, with in the back a malty taste and a nice bitternes. It’s a great beer and always a feast to drink it.

Cloudy golden orange color with a finger of very creamy white head. Spicy aroma, perfumes and dark floral notes. Sharp spice bite and very carbonated yet creamy mouthfeel. Nice sweet dry finish.

Pours a light straw color from the bomber with a trim white head. Plenty of green grapes, mild yeast, and anise on the nose which carry into the flavor. More watery than I prefer, but a fine Tripel.

Bottle. This pours a light golden colour with a large, energetic head. Aromas of apple, grape, yeast, a bit of orange. Tastes strongly of alcohol, with fruit, apple, citrus.

bb 1/22/10... pours somewhat viscous a cloudy golden color with lots of floaters evident. super long lasting airy/wispy/soapy off white head. pillowy foam coats the inside of the glass as the head eventually recedes. really yeasty aroma with notes of black pepper spiciness, canned pear/fruity?, soap/flowers and a hint of some skunk. lots of yeast in the flavor as well as pears, dried grass and herbs, mild caramel and a skunky hop finish. spiciness comes on strong toward the end as the abv% warms up the belly. medium body. nice and dry on the palate. soft airy carbonation makes it velvety and smooth...

Thick white head that lasts, hazy yellow color, lots of yeast sediment in the bottle, luckily I poured it really well and left almost all of it behind. The head actually gets bigger after I pour the beer and let it sit in the glass. There is quite a bit of visible carbonation. An easy 5. Smells pretty darn good. Spicy, yeast, slightly grassy and funky, definitely some fruity stuff in there too. I’m gonna say 8. Flavor is excellent. Perhaps not a complex as the aroma. Very lively on the palate. Smooth drinking. Real good stuff.
