great tripel, travels better to NZ than most beers but still not as good as in Europe.

Pours slightly hazy gold with a huge foamy white head. Aroma- yeast, wheat, clove, Belgian sugar, lemony citrus. Taste is sweet caramel and light citrus with alcohol warming the nose. Very rich carbonation with a slightly bitter finish

Very delicious beer. Nice creamy head. Fruit, yeasty notes. Nice carbonation level tries to balance the beer but might be just a bit much. Otherwise everything comes together nicely with this beer.

25-DEC-2009, bottle @home. Lovely golden/orange color with huge white lasting head. Very yeasty nose and the alcohol can certainly be smelled, but then comes hay, fruity notes with earthy. Very creamy, high carbonation, long aftertaste. In my book it is a perfect 5 in appearance and palate. I did not really think I would end up rating it above 4, but that’s where it endend, and really worthy. This is a high class beer. Just very well made and enjoyable.

Golden yellow color, with compact and quite persistent froth. Perfume surprisingly rich and complex, with hints of vanilla, fruit and tobacco aroma. Strong impact in the mouth but pleasant, with the vigorous aspects of malt are balanced with the power of alcohol and dry hops. Beer that opens into the mouth with a unique alternation of flavors and a soft finish, honey bitter, incredibly pleasant and persistent.

330mL bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with suspended sediment, and a frothy white head that quickly settles. Subtle herbacious and slightly savoury aroma. The flavour has a definite vinous tartness, with some grassy and citrus flavours, and also a mild spiciness and earthiness. Medium-full bodied, creamy on the palate courtesy of the carbonation. The finish is refreshing, mildly sour and bitter, with more lingering earthy notes. Quite an impressive tripel.

(Bottle into trappist glass) Poured a beautiful hazy amber color with a thick creamy head. some sediment in the glass that needed to settle before I dove in. Very slight grassy noted on the nose, but otherwise there was very little that was overwhelming in the aroma, which I found rather refreshing. Medium creamy body danced a little on the tongue, helping to release the flavors of fruit, and slight pepper, ending with a nice hoppy bite at the end. I would recommend taking your time with this one, not only because of the 9.5% ABV, but because the rest helped the flavors develop very well throughout the course of the glass.

Hazy blond colour, with a fine, white head. Rather anonymous aroma with seaweeds and oceanic notes. Strong and spicy flavour, with dominant alcohol and winous texture.

Wonderful fruity spicy aroma, apricots, light orange aroma, & spice. Lovely head, light orange color. Flavors do not disappoint, they’re a bold match to the aroma, perfect balance of fruityness & spice for the style. Wonderful viscous mouthfeel, silky. Overall lives up to the billing as one of the best Trappist Ales or tripels in the world.
