For a little bit I thought it was lightly refreshing, but the flavor got more and more unfortunate to me.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 16, 2009 Wonderful fruity spicy aroma, apricots, light orange aroma, & spice. Lovely head, light orange color. Flavors do not disappoint, they’re a bold match to the aroma, perfect balance of fruityness & spice for the style. Wonderful viscous mouthfeel, silky. Overall lives up to the billing as one of the best Trappist Ales or tripels in the world. naivepegasus (186), USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Pours a cloudy orange with about a finger of slowly dissipating stark white head. Slightly sweet, slightly bitter citrus odor. Nice bitter spiced taste, really great hoppy bitterness with it to go along with some grapefruit and grass aftertaste. This is a lot more complex than most tripels. Good stuff Toxygen (149), Sanford, Florida, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 12, 2009 750 ml. bottle- Pours golden with a good white head, roma is of yeast and citrus. The flavor is totally Belgian, but with a stronger alcohol presence. Usually Belgium is the master at hiding alcohol in its big brews, but this is an exception. Whats great is that I went from a shit beer (Redbridge rated 0.7) to this. weihenweizen (39), West Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 11, 2009 Refrigerated bottle poured into a trappist glass. Pours a golden color with nice tall head that stays around better than some triples. This one is mostly fruit malt, but also has some nice hop spice. This beer is fairly translucent, but has some particles that float around the bottom edges of the glass and has descent lacing. Good beer. mixos (64), Greece

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 8, 2009 (Snifter glass) Pours a golden orange liquid. Has a heavy head which leads to a good amount of lacing. Taste is malty but balanced with a light peach maltiness. Also has a yeast quality to it. The mouthfeel has lively carbonation. The finish is astringent and lightly bitter. Bloekie (165), Belgium

Taste is very very nice of the malts and the hops, with a little bitterness to top it off. Palate is just awesomely refined. Overall one hell of a holy beer!
