| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 27, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Very dark - almost stout-like - with a big and rather stable head. Notes of figs - burned figs - a bit tar’ish. Must contain considerable amounts of burned malts. Surprisingly only medium-bodied for a trappist. Very easy to drink, and not really hardcore in any way. Pity this has been taken out of production. 070398 bibi (18), De Panne, Belgium
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2005 VINTAGE 1998. Kulminator Antwerp. Red ruby beer going towards brown. Very abundant white foam. Still a remarkable level of carbonization in spite of its age. First metal nose then blue grape, caramel and coffee. Also hay in the flavour. Seems very attenuated in mouth, lack of body. The flaveurs are all the same towards malt and refer to biscuits and nuts. Slightly acid and oxidized. alaskanwarren (286), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Finish is clean. Eager to try the 8 and 12. FrkAabenhuus (147), Copenhagen, Denmark
