| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 27, 2005 Updated: May 3, 2005VINTAGE 1998.
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 15, 2005 Consumed at the Kulminator Cafe in Antwerp, 1998 bottle. This excellent brown ale poured with a fluffy tan head, eliciting a strong malt aroma. The flavor was very complex, with a high degree of fruitiness. It’s a shame they don’t make this any more, but I can certainly live with the other beers they still make at the abbey. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium

Dark brown beer with Big beige creamy froth. Nice malty aroma’s with touche of caramel, coffee, malts, roasted malts, faint honey touch and hops. Elegant mouthfeel for a brown beer. Medium body with nice caracteristic taste. Good hints of black tea, sweet bread, nuts, burned malts and fine hops selection.
