The flavour was both surprising and dissapointing. Lots of hops was very surprising but the flavour was aweful. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA

Nice spicy nose with hints of tropical fruit and citrus. Kinda dissapointing flavor, but a nice balanced creamines and spiciness, as well as a nice biscuity maltiness. thewolf (5805), Kolding, Denmark

A wonderful array of bubbles reaching upwards like metal shards to the end of a magnete. Beautiful creamy white head, like whipped egg-whites. It stays and stays. Aroma is softly fruity, some pineapple and yeast. There is a feeling of barn in there mixed with a little soft spicyness, mostly coriander and vanilla. Wonderful creamyness. Flavour is great as well, very complex. Sweet at first with a very prominent malt character. Then it turns dry and frankly a little hoppy bitter (surprised me). The spices mix up nicely at the end. Wonderful, like a low-alcohol Houblon IPA :o) faroeviking (6120), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

The flavour is sweet and pleasant with spices, malt, some yeast and a bit os sourness. Thank you Jesper for sharing a bottle of this tasty brew. Zinister (1207), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Thanks to Papsoe (via Kaggie97/Zinister trade) for this one. Pours a very nice straw yellow color...cloudy. Nice thick white initial head, that turns into a thin white head. Bright meyer lemons with big yeast nose. Crisp, yeasty flavors with some lemon and oddly, white pepper. Very nice. Thanks Papsoe. jacobwennbom (274), Uppsala, Sweden
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 28, 2007 Golden, a bit hazy and with a big white head. Quite floral and fruity aroma, also quite spicy. The most prominent taste is bitterness, I was suprised about how bitter it was (although I might have killed some of the other more fruity notes by drinking it to cold). It it lasts too! But make no mistakes, there absolutley is spice and fruit in threre as well. Vinious I guess. The palate is dry, dusty even. Westvletern sure is great, but it does it live up to the hype? Maybe not so sure. Rictus (126), Camdenton, Missouri, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 18/20 | Sep 25, 2007 A torrent of bubbles in a fuzzy medium gold ale. A large head that took up half the glass. Bright white in color and diminished as a tiny plateau in the glass. Dusty smell. Smells slightly sour and dusty. Some indescribable fruit an peppery bitterness. Leaves your tongue and cheeks feeling tingly. The palate definately doesn’t feel the way it looks. Prickly but not very heavily carbonated. The palatte let it down some but I’d definitely have this daily if it was widely available. The lacing was a beautiful firey pattern too. jakentbc (15), New York, USA
