The head was a thin, white and seem to last a long time. A fair amount of lacing on the glass. Tastes of spices, bread dough, citrus, and coriander. Aroma of fruits. Finish was full with just the right amount of bitterness. I have been waiting to taste this treat a long time. rane (511), Nibe, Denmark

Green cap, as it has now become Westy 6/blond. 04 bottle. Poured yellow in color with a lot of carbonation, with a thin white head. The aroma is quite sweet with lot of ctrus notes. The taste was really complex, fresh and slightly bitter with a little bit of a sour edge. Really a stellar brew. Maria (6307), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 3, 2007 The first time I tasted this was October 30. 2005. The color is amber and the head is moderate, but very lasting. the aroma has notes of hops, fruit and yeast and the mouthfeel is rather oily. The flavour is sweetish with a lot of hops, fruit (apple and a lot of citrus), and it has a pronounced hoppy bitterness, that develops throughout the entire flavour and is strong in the finish. Almost a year later I tasted the next one, and I know for sure, that this was from the same batch as # 1, so it’s 3½ years by now. It hasn’t changed a lot, I think I like it better now, though. I still miss the sweetness, that I find important in a blond, but it’s as if the hops are less dominant by now. Another factor might be, that I started out knowing, that this wouldn’t be sweet, and perhaps that made the difference... Beer2000 (1828), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 1, 2007 330ml bottle. Hazy orange body with a decent creamy head. Aroma is grassy and floral. Flavor is very harmonic indeed, malty, sweet, a fresh kind of fruit sourness and spicy. A complex and fresh, easy drinkable beer. Not a typical blond, either not exactly what I was expecting from Westvleteren, but a really great beer. TURDFERGUSON (1606), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 28, 2007 Dated 03 03 06. Bottle from trade with shrubber85. Thanks. My first Westy. Pour is golden blond with a soapy white head. Aroma is potent with sour apples, white icing cake, dirty citrus hops. Mouthfeel is both bready and creamy. Flavors are overpowered by a whole lotta yeast. A new flavor that is enjoyable and quite refreshing. Look forward to tasting the rest of the Westvletren fleet, though I am glad I tried this one first. robinvboyer (1442), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada
