The taste was super creamy, with a slight bready spice, & the creamy taste does take over somewhat. The best part is the appearance & creamy mouthfeel. deyholla (733), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 0.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Nov 29, 2009 Bottle. Poured a cloudy amber with an amazingly thick white head. Aroma had earthy notes and not much else. Couldn’t pick up much flavor as the amazing creaminess overwhelmed me. BeerChaser0078 (367), Melbourne, Australia
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 28, 2009 Can. Poured clear amber with a thick, creamy beige head that lasts the whole way down. Sweet nose has notes of caramel, honey, malt and burnt sugar. Flavour is very malty and sweet but is otherwise the same as the aroma. Mouthfeel is smooth but a bit thin, considering the style. This is a pretty inoffensive creamy ale but it doesn’t have a lot going for it either, aside from the fact that it’s very easy to drink. fidel (996), Livermore, California, USA

Appearance: The Guinness of Irish Ales I suppose. Clear amber color with a sizeable, creamy, off-white head. Great head retention.
Aroma: The nose is
virtually all caramel and malt. Almost a little artificial smelling.
Flavor: It starts with an off bitter taste, some caramel, and toasted malt notes. I also got an less than spectacular off earthy and metal taste. Very artificial tasting. This stuff is dreadful.
Palate: Low, smooth carbonation with a medium mouthfeel and a medium, nasty, bitter finish.
Overall: Can you say drain pour? This stuff is just plain bad. mkel07 (549), Brisbane, Australia
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 15, 2009 500ml can. Murky and frothy before it settles to a ruby burnt copper colour with a flat even cream head. Aromas of malt and hops come to the surface. Smooth and mellow with a bit of honey hiding in the flavour. Not too bad.
