Commercial Description:
AutumnFest is Weyerbachers own unique twist on the German Oktoberfest style. Copper-amber in color, AutumnFest is made with Vienna and Munich malts for that authentic, Bavarian easy drinking taste. Each sip imparts a wonderful roastiness of malt on the tongue followed by a smooth, consistent finish. Wonderfully balanced with a clean, velvety, slightly fruity taste, AutumnFest is the perfect beer for the Fall- a nice transition between the lighter beers of summer and the darker, heavier winter brews. It is a favorite of many Weyerbacher aficionados, who anticipate the end of summer with this wonderful beer. Weyerbacher AutumnFest (ABV 5.4%) is generally available in stores August through December. Pick up a case to celebrate the change of seasons. Prost!

12 ounce bottle in pint glass. Hazy caramel color with flat head. Mild sweet yeasty caramel aroma. Sweet mildy toasty caramel flavor with giveaway ale fruitiness and sweet finish. Medium body and carbo. Not sure what the purpose of another inferior Oktoberfest knockoff is. But what they hey, it’s not bad. When I picked it up I though it might be an autumn fresh hop beer, but I figured out before I bought it that it was a psuedo-Oktoberfest by a non-lagering micro. Eh, I tried it anyway. But, really, why? I mean there are for too few porters out there. Why not do that instead?

12oz bottle. Pours a deep reddish-amber, white fluffy head. Aroma is a flowery hop on top of a bready, toffee malt. Clean toasten munich malt smell. Flavor is a sweey caramel, toffee, toasted grains. Very full flavored. Easy to sit back and enjoy the fresh taste of Märzen bier. Overall, the color throws you off for style. The taste on the other hand... spot on. Delicious! Prost!

Pours a nice clear copper with a quickly dissipating foam. Aroma is slightly spicy with elements of sweet malt and some faint solvent notes. Flavor is light roasted/toasted malt, tart apples & light floral flavors. Finishes with a dry & herbal. Medium body.

Bottle Bangor 08’. Deep amber/copper. Tan head that quickly faded with faint lacing. Tart grassy hops are present but restrained. Sourdough, carmel, slight spice. Well done overall. It was on discount so it must be a lot better in october.

Bottled. Poured clear reddish-brown with a tall-ish cap of well-retained beige head. The aroma picked up brown sugar and nutmeg-laden toasty caramel malts with a dusting of leafy hoppage.. smelled quite nice. The flavor had more of that older caramel at the core with brown sugar and mild spicage.. light floral and leafy bitterness surrounded.. drier, prickly herbal notes on the finish. Medium-bodied and a bit sharp at times on the palate.. this was tasty, but I’d like to see how it is fresh.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of MaltOMeal. Hazy, deep amber golden with an off-white head. Very intense, sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a very, very solid malt, a whiff of flowers and a little caramel. Subdued bitterness but some alcohol is shining through in the finish. 210308
