The taste was pumpkin, sweet malts, bitter hops, and enough sourness to keep it from tasting too one dimensional. Mouth was a little thin, Appearance ... reddish amber with a small white head ... was the best part of the beer. Hlaf a bottle was enough. Not bad, exactly, but not great either. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 2, 2006 Pours amber with a white head. Smells like leaves, pumpkin, pretty much everything autumn. If you could bottle the scent, flavor, and feeling of autumn, this is what you would get. It just tastes like you are breathing in fresh fall air. Another nice brew from Weyerbacher. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 23, 2006 Bottle: poured a light amber hue with a fading head and no much lace. The aroma has notes of caramel, pumpernickel bread, apple, pear, currants, and some honeycomb. The taste is rather straight-forward and of little depth which mostly sweet malt and fruit. A bit twangy and acidic which kept it from becoming cloy. The feel matched the rest of the beer, very average. Yes, this is an average beer, no drainpour yet nothing very special. pbjclimber (150), Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA

Honey-bronze color with a clean, wispy malt/hop balance in the nose. Clean drinking, but reserved malt flavor--more of an amber ale style beer. I am surprise to see the modestly high alcohol content as it was completely masked in this beer. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 19, 2005 Toasty, bready, malt forward aroma is fresh, clean and appealing. Clear amber-brown body with a large, pillowy, long lasting, off white head that coats the glass. Bready and toasty malt character carries this one through with a fair finishing bitterness to keep from cloying. Soft, creamy texture to the medium body with fine carbonation that is lively on the tongue. I thought this was a very well made Octoberfest and I’m very surprised to see it entered as an amber ale. Sampled on the PA trip 2005. shanereid (75), Portsmouth, Virginia, USA

A copper colour but followed with no aroma or taste that made me want to drink more. I might try again with a different meal. Birdiebeagle (788), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA

Looks like ice tea. Malty aroma with hints of chocolate.Hints of berries in the taste. Also touches of grain. Has a weak bitter finish. This is a tasty change. Probally wouldn’t drink every day but not bad once in a while.
