Dark orange, small white head. Sweet dark honey aroma. Odd sweet malt taste. Unbalanced, medium mouthfeel. Touch of maple syrup. Very similar to the F & M Harvest Ale made for the Bow and Arrow - the right Fall flavours are there, but just have not been put together properly. Ok, but not great. Pungent malt aroma. Has some mild fruity notes, but the pungent kick stands out the most...almost has a cheap malt liquor feel to it. Tea colored with thin, but still frothy white head. Some fruity malt notes in the fore. Finish is also vaguely malt liquoresqe. If this wasn’t labeled and you told me it was from Weyerbacher I wouldn’t believe it. Just kinda blah. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2005 Bottle (12oz). Poured clear light amber with a decent foamy tan head. Mild aroma of pungent, yeasty, fruity malt, a bit floral, seemed almost vegetal for about 30 seconds, but it settled down to a nice oily maltiness. The oily aroma resolves into caramel malt, with plenty of aged tree fruit and some woddy, earthy yeast - not much bitterness here. Mouthfeel fairly full and creamy. I quite liked it - could be a touch more carbonated, even hoppier, but I had no qualms downing my bottle. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 26, 2005 Bright copper color with a little haze. The head is tight and slightly off white. The aroma is surprisingly fruity with cherries and some light oranges. The taste is grapefruit that is tempered with some cherry sweetness. Ther eis also caramel and some light wood. This is balanced more than a lot of ambers. Recieved in a trade, thanks Lou18. Sammy (4049), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 22, 2005 very plain beer with little flavour and strong carbonation. Amber colour, some lace, not much head. Have had much better autumn seasonals. fluids (364), USA

This beer has little palate complexity (for an amber ale). The alcohol does add a component to the palate and there is a very light fruity bitterness too it with little signature. It’s good it just isn’t excellent like it could be for the style. cfranz (261), Acton, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Kind of a weak beer - no texture or much flavour. Poured a very light amber, no head. crazyvin (1254), New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 10, 2005 just okay. Ttoo mild on hops too bland on the malt flavors. Poured a nice reddish amber color barely any head.
