Commercial Description:
AutumnFest is Weyerbachers own unique twist on the German Oktoberfest style. Copper-amber in color, AutumnFest is made with Vienna and Munich malts for that authentic, Bavarian easy drinking taste. Each sip imparts a wonderful roastiness of malt on the tongue followed by a smooth, consistent finish. Wonderfully balanced with a clean, velvety, slightly fruity taste, AutumnFest is the perfect beer for the Fall- a nice transition between the lighter beers of summer and the darker, heavier winter brews. It is a favorite of many Weyerbacher aficionados, who anticipate the end of summer with this wonderful beer. Weyerbacher AutumnFest (ABV 5.4%) is generally available in stores August through December. Pick up a case to celebrate the change of seasons. Prost!

Bottle: Bright orange with a thin white head, light citrus aroma, starts and ends lightly sweet, not great, but no that bad either.

I rather enjoyed the swettness, could have used a bit more hops to balance. There was some caramel and citris. Not a shining example of the style, but ok.

One of the few dissapointing beers I’ve had by Weyerbacher. This stuff is just too damn sweet. Molasses, caramel and sticky sweet malts abound. Had some hops but I’d like a different hop varietal in this.

Bottle, from Julio’s. Good aroma, apples, cardboard, earthy musty. Clean reddish orange color. Small head that faded quickly. Fruity bitter flavors, Carmel, litle burnt, little citrusy, Thin bodied , lite creamy smooth mouthfeel, Bittersweet finish. Seemed good tonight.

10.29.04 12oz bottle. Pretty beer glows with copper, amber, and golden coors and a fluffy, foamy head. Herbal and grassy aromas on the wane, hints of cardboard. Bready malt is mostly sweet with more herbal hints and a sharp, weedy finish with undertones of appleskin; growing vegetal as it warms.

Bottle--Thanks willblake! Pours a nice golden-copper color with a big head that sticks around for a good long time, leave sheets of lace literally draped down the sides of the glass! Beautiful! The nose is mild, almost nothing--some roasted malt, maybe a bit of butterscotch. The taste is malt first, with apples and almonds, a hint of caramel and toffee--with just a smidge of hop bittering in the finish and on the back of the tongue. Unfortunately, there is also a hint of cabbage and just a little Band-aid to the flavor as well. Overall a good beer with a gorgeous color and head.

Deep golden beer with a moka head. Cave mushroom aroma. Rather bizarre earthy taste and msuty notes. Carboardy taste. Medium bodied. (October 2004).

Copperish/amber hue, with a small beige head. Malty grain nose. Sweet, steady carbonation, nicely balanced with a spicy hopped up finish. Not bad at all.
