Commercial Description:
AutumnFest is Weyerbachers own unique twist on the German Oktoberfest style. Copper-amber in color, AutumnFest is made with Vienna and Munich malts for that authentic, Bavarian easy drinking taste. Each sip imparts a wonderful roastiness of malt on the tongue followed by a smooth, consistent finish. Wonderfully balanced with a clean, velvety, slightly fruity taste, AutumnFest is the perfect beer for the Fall- a nice transition between the lighter beers of summer and the darker, heavier winter brews. It is a favorite of many Weyerbacher aficionados, who anticipate the end of summer with this wonderful beer. Weyerbacher AutumnFest (ABV 5.4%) is generally available in stores August through December. Pick up a case to celebrate the change of seasons. Prost!

2004 bottle(I believe)...amber pour with a medium cream colored head. Aroma is malty, and I catch a hint of maple syrup. Also some raisin aroma. Start is kinda off, sort of tastes like pumpkin but not good. Definate malt noted in the flavor, not too sweet, some pungent tones to finish. This seems off to me...maybe it was infected. Not sure.

Good amber color (what else would an autum beer be?) and a head that goes away quick enough. The aroma is an earthy roasted malt goodness, very leafy. The flavor is completely parallel. I must say, beers like this are making me enjoy Weyerbacher as a solid mid-carder.

Smooth brew, easy to drink. Roasted malt and hop combination in flavor. Russet- amber color. Good beer for the autumn season.

Nice and malty, with good hop spice, but overall a bit bland. Sugary at the end. An oily body, pretty right on in the palate.

Weyerbacher is hit or miss with me. This was my first opportunity to try this particular beer. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle the beer poured a golden color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was marvelous - thick with sweet malt, ripe fruit and spice. The flavor was sweet, malty, mildly spicy and had a hint of hops. There was an indescribable off malt flavor to it that was strangely appealing. I found this a nicely drinkable beer that I would anticipate having again.

Bottle pours deep amber, small off-white milk froth like head, soft carbonation, with so-so lacing.   Malts, grains, and cooked vegetables on the nose.   Flavor of very sweet malts, slight grains and spices, witih a bit of celery.   Good body, decent mouthfeel.   Finishes smooth, quite sweet, with a malts and subtle spices.   Thanks goes out to slob for the trade!

Off tan head on an orangish red body. Earthy, toasty aroma with a light noble hop quality. Flavors are heavy on teh toasty side, without much malt sweetness till the finish. Touch of hop bitterness mixes with carbonation for a crisp finish. Tastes kinda like how you would guess it would taste from looking at the label, if there was a small brush fire going somewhere in the background or on one of the barns.
