Commercial Description:
AutumnFest is Weyerbachers own unique twist on the German Oktoberfest style. Copper-amber in color, AutumnFest is made with Vienna and Munich malts for that authentic, Bavarian easy drinking taste. Each sip imparts a wonderful roastiness of malt on the tongue followed by a smooth, consistent finish. Wonderfully balanced with a clean, velvety, slightly fruity taste, AutumnFest is the perfect beer for the Fall- a nice transition between the lighter beers of summer and the darker, heavier winter brews. It is a favorite of many Weyerbacher aficionados, who anticipate the end of summer with this wonderful beer. Weyerbacher AutumnFest (ABV 5.4%) is generally available in stores August through December. Pick up a case to celebrate the change of seasons. Prost!

Bottle. Pours a copper amber body with a white head. Caramel malt, some light earthiness. Thin bodied with a big malt character and some light fruity esters. Some light metallic iron in the middle of the body that lingers as a light earthy bitterness. Eh not so good.

12 oz bottle purchased from Green’s Beverage in Atlanta. Poured a clear amber color with a one finger, soapy, off white head. The aroma was mainly caramel malt, but notes of earth were present. The flavor is a bit weak, with not much more than a caramel malt base. A slight sour tang at the end was the only flaw. The body was a bit light, but overall, this was a solid, drinkable brew. A good session type beer that I could drink over and over again.

12 oz. Clear, orange-copper with a large, creamy and lasting head. Aroma of metallic molasses, caramel, grain and light alcohol. Flavor is metallic caramel, tart apple, grain and lightly bitter dry grass. Medium body is creamy smooth, lightly tingly and dryish.

Average Oktoberfest... probably the style I find has the least variation among brewers. This one is orange with a brown tint, pours a frothy but small white head that disappears, and has that slight malty Oktoberfest sweetness and nice light body. Easy to drink and great with food, but nothing distinctive.

Malt flavor, some spices. Clean palate, but otherwise pretty boring. Easy to drink, nothing to offendable.

Orange pour with minimal head. Malty and caramel aroma. Smooth flavor but not really notable. Some nut hints.

Bottle, fairly decent beer. cloudy orangish pour with a light head. Aroma is very malty with some notes of caramel and a few wisps of hops. Flavor is fairly smooth without too much complexity it remains a drinkable beer.Malty and a bit nutty in flavor. Not bad, not amazing either.
