The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as a light touch of spices and honey. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey, malt, and caramel as well as light notes of bread, leading to a dry ans slightly bitter finish. More complex than your usual Oktoberfest. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 3, 2003 Crystal clear copper hue. Very small fizzy head.
Malty aroma with plenty of vanilla and butterscotch and unidentified fruit.
Tastes about like it smells. Balanced decently with a nice, light hop presence on the backside.
Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation.
Short, roasted, medium-dry finish. I've had much better beer from Weyerbacher, but then again this isn't really my style of beer. Just a decent brew from a great brewery. CaptainCougar (5532), Rockville, Maryland, USA
