Mar 21, 2008 Bottled. A hazy dark golden (orangey) beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as a light touch of spices and honey. The flavor is sweet with notes of honey, malt, and caramel as well as light notes of bread, leading to a dry ans slightly bitter finish. More complex than your usual Oktoberfest.

slightly hazy amber, wispy white head, nice lace, sweet caramel malt aroma with a light spicy character, rich caramel malt flavor with nice sweetness and a spicy edge, lots of yeasty fresh baked sourdough bread character, fresh bread in a glass

Oct 20, 2006 12oz bottle-pours a tan head with copper color. Aroma is slightly sweet caramel malt, medium hops, secondary grass. Taste is light slightly sweet caramel malt, medium hops. Nicely balanced although has a slightly flat hops finish. OK carbonation.

May 3, 2003 Crystal clear copper hue. Very small fizzy head.
Malty aroma with plenty of vanilla and butterscotch and unidentified fruit.
Tastes about like it smells. Balanced decently with a nice, light hop presence on the backside.
Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation.
Short, roasted, medium-dry finish. I've had much better beer from Weyerbacher, but then again this isn't really my style of beer. Just a decent brew from a great brewery.

Oct 10, 2003 Clear copper with a thin light tan head. Aroma is sugary sweet with some dark roasted graininess. Body is lightly sweet with a musty, lightly sour malty finish. Decent German hop profile. Somewhat thin body goes down smooth.
