Oak and grape aroma with notes of caramel and light sourness. Initially woody and lightly sour with a light body and grape/wine aspect. If you’re expecting a dark Belgian Dubbel forget it, but this is a superb surprise. Body turns airy and lightly tart and oaky sour. Earthy though and not Lambic sour. Black cherry skin fruitiness and trademark yeast bite towards the finish which ends as it begins. An intriguing brew that demands your full attention. Another winner. that great sweet and sour combination. Dark
ruby red color, firm malty base, and moderate
sourness. Fairly intense, but a nice example.

Great complex aroma of grapes, plums, raisins, brown sugar, port wine and a but of roastyness. Color is a slightly murky dark brown. Flavor is not what I expected. Bit sour with roasted grains, smoke, more grapes and a bit of spicyness. Finish is spicy with a bit of alcohol presence and a lingering taste of smoke and roasted grains. A very good dubbel but I think that it has soured a little over time. pivo (2537), Germany

Sweetish malt front with some candi-sugar. Tight peppery end - very spicy all around. Medium body, decent balance. Whiff of alcohol at the end too. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
