Dark brown in color with almost no head. Strong molasses and caramel aroma. Strong coffee and caramel flavors on a coaco-cream tasting thin body.

A very thick and black pour, brown head of medium levels. A musky chocolate aroma. Hearty taste with a somewhat watery ending for Weyerbacher.

12 oz bottle Pours a muddy black with a creamy light brown head, very lasting and good lacing. Aroma is malty Carmel, chocolate, coffee, and nuts. Also a little sweet raspberry. Taste is excellent not a thing too heavy. A smooth palate and easy drinking full body beer.

The maple undertone improved greatly as this beer warmed. Weyerbacher’s best by far.

This bottled brew poured a large sized head of foamy fine to medium sized mostly lasting dark brown colored bubbles that left behind an excellent sheet lacing. The body contained no visible carbonation, was opaque and black brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of roasted malts dark that malt needed to be stronger as it was pretty weak. Its mouth feel is initially slightly tingly smooth and mild with a mellow aftertaste. Its flavor contained strange mild flavors with dark malts and mild hops. I wished it was better. I had higher expectations from this brew. It also had a slight acidic note that showed up later.

Pours with a dark brown to black body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet bitter, roasty and nutty with a slight caramel note. Medium bodied, smooth and slighlty dry.
