I like this as much as anything from Weyerbacker. Not quite a Storm King, but a good, dark stout even if we call it a porter. Black pour with a small light brown tight head that leaves some lacing. Good sweet chocolately nose. A little thinner than I expected from its appearance, but good mouth feel. Taste of sweet malt, chocolate, and more of a hoppy bitterness than one would get from a porter. I liked it. Reviewers seem a bit tough on this one, and a bit easy on the others I tasted today.

Interesting, but not terribly good. The flavor is schizo with a dark lager stroke over aled malts. Perhaps this is the molasses. Finish is rather rough. The palate is tight and constraining. Fun, but lacking style and persistence.

Pours a deep brown black hue. Medium sizedpale tan head is mostly lasting leaving slight lace. Nose of vanilla, roast, dark chocolate, raison, faintly floral, dark caramel and overipe chocolate covered fruit. Dark toast, caramel, plum, vanilla, faint smoke, molasses, tobacco, leather, sweet. This is nice and would work wonders with certain dark chocolate dessert. I dig it. Drop in a glob of vanilla ice cream and your golden. Shower that is.

Dark brown colored body with an average sized tan head. Chocolate milk aroma. As it warms, the chocolate increases but never intensifies to the level that the aroma has you prepared for. A bit thin in the body.

Black, tan head. Strong aroma of chocolate milk. Some sweet spices in the taste, as well as coffee and cocoa. As it warms, a bit chocolate comes through. Tasty. Big thanks to Springslicker for sharing!

Near black, with a hint of brown on the edges. Taller rich tan colored head. Small tatting of lace. Dark caramel aromas with hints of sorghum, pipe tobacco, and cacao liqueur. Thinner feel, but still a bit oily. Dark malt start that really doesn’t get more interesting of complex. Actually it leads to an acidic and biting finish (near feel and taste of a 9 volt batter). Just does not have much depth.

(22oz body) A black body with a hint of red, topped by a big tan, milkshakean head that leaves very nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, coffee, roasty, some bittersweet chocolate, light raisin, nutty, salty. Taste is medium sweet, roasty, chocolate, some tobacco, salty, plum, earthy. Watery light-medium body, alcohol well hidden.

Pours black with a small, dark head. Light aroma of roasted malts—chocolate and coffee. Flavor is the same, with a lot of roasted bitterness and an emphasis on the chocolate. A little smoky at the finish.
