Thanks to Slob for yet another Porter! Not a lot of smell coming off of this. Some mild roastiness is all i pick up. Deep black with a fluffy head that fades to a dime thin line very quickly. Roasted coffee beans and barley followed by a little syrup sweetness. A very compressed flavor palate you pick everything up at once. Don’t notice any alcohol int he flavor or smell and you can usually catch something at 7%. Nice palate. Very full porter. Really is a looker. Very pitty sitting in the glass. Needs a better flavor range to be truly great.

Bottle. Small tan head that mostly diminished, fine-small sized bubbles, fair lacing, no visible carbonation, opaque, and a black hue. Aroma was chocolate and mild malt. There was some bitterness and a trace of roastiness in the flavor with some molasses. Smooth mouthfeel. Not a true porter IMO. Have had much better ones than this one.

Black, with medium sized tan head. Bittersweet chocolate and mild roast mild in the aroma. Hints of smokiness interspaced with bitter chocolate and hints of roastiness in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium, and very smooth.

22 oz bottle. Eclipse black color. Large sized beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee and dark fruit. A medium to full bodied porter. Malts are fruity and sweet, chocolate and coffee. There is a touch of roastyness and bitterness. Nice smooth tasting porter. Easy drinking. No trace of the 7% alcohol. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Dark, creamy (foamy head) and chocolatey. A very nice porter. Better than most that I’ve tried. Had a draft sample at the 6 Pack Store in Phila and I think I’ll be heading back for a growler real soon.

Dark brown body with some light coming through... creamy tan head, fading into a creamy ring around the glass. Roasted apples and molasses greet the nose, along with a touch of vanilla which turns into more of a sulfurry hint. Roasted molasses dark malt with a "wet snow" staleness is in the flavor, which also has some tart fruit at times. Not bad overall.

Mild burnt and chocolate aroma, nice dark color, small tan head, flavor is lightly chocolate, but with some nasty off flavors in the finish (vomit like as others have mentioned). Slightly too watery as well. Not impressed.

Bottle: Aroma was roasty and full of chocolate. Poured dark black in color, thouh appeared clear. Small light brown head that left mimimal lacing. Flavor was of dark, dark choclate and molasses. Not too sweet though. More dry and bitter. Very easy to drink. Overall, a good porter.
