Commercial Description:
Blanche is a thirst quenching beer that combines character and flavor with a moderate alcohol content. Just try a bottle. In the nose you'll notice spiciness from the coriander seeds and dried curacao orange peels added during the boil. In the mouth you'll find a mild and refreshing ale with a hint of dryness from the wheat ingredients. A clean finish follows with just a hint of tart spiciness.

03.24.05 12oz bottle. Hazed and almost white yellow pour with fizzy white head. Aromas are odd and not entirely good - some biscuit dough, orange sherbert, custard, white glue. Sour flavors, orange Pez, something tangy that lingers. Way too dry for my tastes. Not good beer from a normally very good brewer; not as bad as Sterkens.

Beer pours mostly pale golden with a pretty rapidly diminishing egg white head. The appearance is not cloudy enough. The nose does have elements of coriander and orange peel but in an overly restrained manner. Flavor also has elements of a belgian white, they just aren’t nearly "bright" enough. Flavor is clean with light sweetness and a dry spicy finish.

Poured yellow with small white vanishing head. Cloudy, yeast aroma. tart finish. Not the best example of te style, and better for a summer day.

Pours golden yellow color with almost no head. Faint dough-like yeast aroma. Bland wheat and grain flavors. Doesn’t come across like a traditional Belgian Wit. Boring.

2004 bottle. Garbage. Pours golden yellow/white-gold. Moderate white head. Sediment in the bottle. That’s about the extent of the good things. Let’s get something straight. I like bottle conditioned unfiltered beers, but that dosent mean that just because you dont filter your beer, it’s an excuse to do nothing else with it. This sucked, I’m sorry, I hate being opinionated in ratings, but Weyerbacher can do much better than this. A nutty chewiness, like chewing on a stalk of dried cilantro. Dry and nutty, with no sweetness, little to no esters, and only a faint yeast presence. Arg.

Had this on tap at the 8th Dominion beerfest. Looked a cloudy lemonade color with a decent white head that left some lace around the sample glass. Aroma consists of citrus fruits mainly lemon with a bit of spice to it. Taste starts of with a wheaty malt flavor and is quickly joined by orange and lemon citrus flavors. Clean dry finish with a little spice bite to it and a lingering lemon flavor. Mouthfeel is good for the style and goes down very smooth. A very refreshing drink to have around on a sunny day.

Bottle: Aroma is mostly orange with a little spice. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a decent white head that lasts a minute or so. Orange up front with light banana struggling to get thru in the sour finish. Real sour finish kills this beer.

Bottle, from slob! Pours hazy, light yellow with a small white head that diminishes to a ring of bubbles. Slightly sour aroma, spicy with tart citric notes as well. Flavor is light, lemon, wheat, sour apple and a bit of yeast, with a lingering tart finish. Light body and zesty carbonation make this an easy drinking beer.
