The aroma is wheat, spice, sugar and leafy organic matter. It has a pretty decent first taste that seems to be dominated by an odd leafy character. It ends with a smoother wheat flavor with a tint of lemon. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

Smell is good enough, yeasty and like old medicine. Taste is lemony tart and nothing else. Aftertaste is yeasty wheat. Pretty boring taste. Darkover (1313), Columbus, Ohio, USA

It left no head. Not much of an aroma to speak of, mostly wheat. At first it’s pretty sour with hints of wheat and some spice. The sourness sudsides a bit, but that just may be my taste buds going numb. Normally, I’m a witbier fan, just not this one. 5000 (2409), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 30, 2004 Bottle pours a hazy pale yellow, medium white foamy head, lively carbonation, with fairly decent brewers lace. A very lemony/bready aroma, with hints of orange peel and coriander. Slightly sour, wheaty flavor up front. Light spices and citrus follow. Medium body and mouthfeel. Moderate finish, slightly dry and sour. Not bad! Thanks goes out to slob for the trade!

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 22, 2004 Very pale yellow with minimal carbonation and some haze. Nice floral and citrusy aromas, with just a touch of spice. The dominant flavor is citrus with a mild coriander backdrop. It’s quite sour, but mellow at the same time. Uncomplicated, but enjoyable. biznizness (937), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 30, 2004 Um no. Not digging this at all. I like the witbier style but this is... sour. And because of this the beer is not as smooth and refreshing as it should be. Had problems choking down even one bottle. Definitely wouldn’t get this again.
