| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 29, 2007 Red/golden with a small, but creamy head. The aroma has notes of raisin, wood, vanilla and flowers. The mouthfeel is quite oily. The flavour has notes of raisin, oak, vanilla, warming alcohol, oranges/citrus and flower. The alcohol is a little too dominating, but still it’s a very nice beer! Thank you Steve (Coldbrewky) for this one! Funknmilla (600), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 22, 2007 Pours very red-amber, with a medium reddish-cream head that fades fast to a small collar of dense foam. Aroma: WOW, big time alcohol with lots of wood, hints of bourbon, and barest touch of hops. Flavor follows through with the alcohol nose, this is a BIG beer. Lots of malt back up the substantial but pleasant alcoholic bite. Body is big, as one would expect of a quad style beer. This beer is warming all the way down, with a pleasant sweet but warm aftertaste. Another great barrel aged beer from Weyerbacher. Suttree (2734), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 22, 2007 Cloudy orange, a few floaties, and a very thin head. Fruity sweet aroma, like strawberries, maybe. Plus some oak and red wine. Flavor is also fruity - strawberris and cherry and the a huge vanilla flavor. Very woodsy finish. Some whiskey notes, too. The nose and flavor are both oak with hints of vanilla. Nice alcohol warming finish. fredjaz (108), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Should not have made this my last beer on a heavy drinking night. Knocked me on my ass. Even so I can still remember how much I enjoyed it
