Commercial Description:
Blasphemy is our award winning QUAD aged in bourbon barrels. But not overaged, so we've picked up gentle vanilla oaky notes which complement rather than supercede the complex qualities that already make QUAD such an incredible beer.

12-oz bottle received via trade with coldbrewky. Pours hazy light orange with a small, frothy, white head, diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toffee), light hops (flowers), average yeast (dough) with notes of banana, apple, peach, and vanilla. Full bodied, creamy and alcoholic texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, heavy acidity, light bitterness; fruity and brown sugar flavor.

bottle......notes from a blind quad tasting... appearance: transparent dark brown with an off-whte head aroma: very vanilley and bourboney, sweet malt taste: sweet caramel and sugary malt.;....just wished there was more of a dark fruit presence.

Red/golden with a small, but creamy head. The aroma has notes of raisin, wood, vanilla and flowers. The mouthfeel is quite oily. The flavour has notes of raisin, oak, vanilla, warming alcohol, oranges/citrus and flower. The alcohol is a little too dominating, but still it’s a very nice beer! Thank you Steve (Coldbrewky) for this one!

Bomber...dark brown with beige head...creamy body with the classic bourbon taste that so many weyerbachers follow now a day....you can smell the malts and bourbon also some fig....almost a plum date taste...easy to drink for a high 11.8%...a bit of stickiness left on the lips

Pours very red-amber, with a medium reddish-cream head that fades fast to a small collar of dense foam. Aroma: WOW, big time alcohol with lots of wood, hints of bourbon, and barest touch of hops. Flavor follows through with the alcohol nose, this is a BIG beer. Lots of malt back up the substantial but pleasant alcoholic bite. Body is big, as one would expect of a quad style beer. This beer is warming all the way down, with a pleasant sweet but warm aftertaste. Another great barrel aged beer from Weyerbacher.

Cloudy orange, a few floaties, and a very thin head. Fruity sweet aroma, like strawberries, maybe. Plus some oak and red wine. Flavor is also fruity - strawberris and cherry and the a huge vanilla flavor. Very woodsy finish. Some whiskey notes, too.

A truly great spin on a Quad. The pour is a nice amber with a small white head. The nose and flavor are both oak with hints of vanilla. Nice alcohol warming finish.

What a vicious brew! notably strong but tasted great, complex and sweet. Should not have made this my last beer on a heavy drinking night. Knocked me on my ass. Even so I can still remember how much I enjoyed it
